Since childhood Stephan LeRoy Davis has had an artistic story to tell, but the pages of his book utilize captivating images on canvas. If it touches him personally then it’s more than likely that it will find it’s way on to the clamps of his easel. His subject matter ranges from cultural, to the political, to the sports and entertainment industry.

Stephan is a multi-faceted artist who possesses diverse talents and skills. Adept in Styrofoam carvings he also works in a variety of mediums including acrylic paint, oil paint and pen and ink. The Brooklyn born artist helped to cultivate his God given talents with hard work and tenacity. He has studied and received an art education at prominent institutions the likes of The Brooklyn Museum Art program, The Creative Arts Academy, The High School of Music and Art and The School of Visual Arts College.

Stephan is a former President and member of the Long Island Black Artist Association and he is listed in the World Artist Directory. He is currently a member of the Bedford Stuyvesant Artist Association.

His paintings have been exhibited in various locations throughout the state of New York, including the African American Museum, The Kaplan House at Lincoln Center, The New York City Urban Experience Gallery, and The Corporate Headquarters of Polo and Ralph Lauren.

With a diverse clientele, Stephan has also made a point to regularly lend his talents to creating set designs, construction, as well as production logos and various other artistic endeavors for The St. Paul Community Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York.

He aims to continuously strive for artistic freedom of expression. Stephan wants it known that he is an illustrator who paints on canvas. His artwork sums it up, but as he clearly states, “I want to tell a story through my art.”
