Judy Rios came to Brooklyn by way of the Bronx. She has been creating art since elementary school. Her inspiration came from her father who was always sketching. Her love of art was her private passion that she nurtured over the years. She received art guidance in high school and college, graduating from Bernard M. Baruch College with an Art/ Business degree. Judy didn’t start exhibiting until later in life. Her work is signed: j. ellen. Judy’s work is spiritually guided and is also influenced by nature. Her early works were created with oil paints. Now she has moved towards using acrylics and found objects. She is also experimenting with photography and sculpture.
