I was born and raised in Mobile, AL. I came to New York to attend the School of Visual Arts and pursue an art career. The inspiration for my art comes directly from my life experiences. For me, the act of creating is a recording of my thoughts, dreams, opinions and expressions. In my art I give the viewer not only an image but also a mirror so that they may share in that moment of reflection with me. Since my experiences are a combination of many distinct elements I use mixed media (acrylic, ink, dry pastels, silkscreen, pencil and collage) to create a layered image that reflects the reality of my life.
